What we can do for you

We provide a range of IT network services ranging from technician services through to full scale deployments. Where we can add the most value to you is through consultancy services, as most network solutions will always grow.

Our considerable experience allows us to help you choose the best route for this growth and give you the best advice about how your investment can return value.

Microsoft Networks

microsoft_logoWe deal with the full range of Microsoft products and the solutions they bring can offer a centralised approach to delivering a solid user experience. If the end user isn't considered, then often most of the effort in getting the infrastructure working well still brings a lack of productivity. We can help you get the desktop policies right and achieve consistency.
We believe the latest versions of Windows 7 and Server 2008 are the best yet, and with stronger control features allow you to design working solutions for the end user - without compromising administration.

Windows has a clear advantage in the breadth of software and hardware that is supported and offers extensive features and a familiar user interface for business and education.

Active DirectoryActive Directory Transitive Trusts

In our opiniion, the strongest product in the Microsoft range is Active Directory. A single directory service that offers full Single Sign On options for integration to files stores, Sharepoint Services and authentication. The control this brings allows for granular configuration focused on the end user experience without compromising the administation and security policies of a network.

Centralised Software

centralThis is a standard feature of the Windows solution but it adds to the consistency across workstation access. The ability to deploy software packages to groups or specific groups of machines allows you to take control. You can use this to ensure that all the systems have all the software you need, when you need it.

Group Policy Preferencesgp_pref

New to Server 2008 is the Group Policy preferences framework. Prior to this release, adding shortcuts and mapped drives to a user profiile involved scripting tricks and batch files. This has now been embedded into the framework making this easy to control what you need users to see. It is very powerful, you can even target specific machines, for example, having a printer automatically become the default printer in one room and change this when somewhere else. All seamless to the user, all important in achieving a solid foundation.

Trying to keep track of who needs to communicate with who is a challenge, but as with all things, the ability to multitask grows with practice.I have read many books on personal development and the idea that effective people are very good at managing time. • Cloud Solutions for the future
Cloud Solutions for the future There has been a huge push in the last 12 months towards 'Cloud Technology'. What this means is that organisations large and small are moving more of the their data and core infrastructure requirements to hosted solutions. I have to admit that adopting this technology has made a huge difference to how I run my own company, and I am of the opinion that most small businesses would do well to consider some of the benefits. Generally, 99.9% SLA with all the services running on fully redundant hardware. A more flexible way to make access to core business services easier…
